Living off the land - Professional Squatters

There are squatters and there are professional squatters. That’s what someone from a housing regulatory board said. Like what’s depicted in the photo below, where there’s a row of dull looking squat houses on the foreground and a bit further off on the background a row of more colorful squat houses. Professional squatters squat for business. What differentiates them from mere squatters is they have a plan. They live in dull looking slum houses and put up other better looking slum houses, for rent. If they’re evicted they’ve “lived off the land” at least. A good research subject, especially to look into how much professional squatters “take off the land”, who they share the “rent on the land” with, and whether they are eligible under the conventional types of entrepreneurs.
